Cottage Cheese Pigs in a Blanket

Ingredients:

1 ounce cream cheese, softened

¼  cup Good Culture Simply Cottage Cheese

⅛  teaspoon salt

¼  teaspoon garlic powder

¼  teaspoon paprika

Lil smokies sausages

Pie dough

Honey mustard dipping sauce

¼ cup cottage cheese

3 tablespoons dijon

2 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Directions:

Prepare the Filling:
In a food processor, combine ¼ cup cottage cheese, 1 ounce cream cheese, ⅛ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon garlic powder, and ¼ teaspoon paprika. Blend until smooth and well combined. Set aside.

Prepare the Dough:
Cut the pie dough in half, then stack one half on top of the other. Next, cut the dough into long triangles, making each triangle roughly the size of the sausages (little smokies).

Assemble the Pigs in a Blanket:
Spread a thin layer of the cottage cheese mixture on one triangle of dough. Place another triangle on top to sandwich the filling. Roll a sausage in the layered dough triangles, starting from the wider end and rolling toward the tip.

Bake:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the assembled pigs in a blanket on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 25 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown.

Make the Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce:
In a food processor or blender, combine ¼ cup cottage cheese, 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard, 2 tablespoons honey, and 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar. Blend until smooth.

Serve:
Once the pigs in a blanket are done baking, transfer them to a serving dish. Serve warm with the honey mustard dipping sauce on the side.
