Cottage Cheese Banana Split

Makes 1 large banana split

Who said you can’t have a banana split for breakfast? Because it definitely wasn’t us… Serve up “ice cream” for breakfast with the kids – all the cool moms are doing it! Or indulge in your late night cravings without feeling guilty for it with Good Culture’s Cottage Cheese Banana Split! Whatever the reason, is a good enough reason for a banana split.


  • 1 oz dark chocolate, chopped

  • 1 cup Good Culture Low Fat Classic Cottage Cheese, divided

  • 1 banana, sliced lengthwise

  • 2 tablespoons chopped strawberries

  • 2 tablespoons crushed pineapple

  • 3 fresh cherries


  • In a microwave safe bowl, melt the chocolate on 10-second intervals, stirring in between each interval, until completely melted.

  • Scoop the cottage cheese into a banana split dish, creating three distinct mounds.

  • Top one scoop with chopped strawberries, and one with crushed pineapple. Drizzle the third with melted dark chocolate, and top with the cherries.

  • Slide the halved banana into the dish, on either side of the cottage cheese scoops.

  • Enjoy immediately!
