Cottage Cheese Fig Truffles
Appetizer
Makes 12 pieces
Prep time: 10 minutes.
Ingredients:
- 12 fresh, ripe figs, any variety
- 1/2 cup Good Culture Cottage Cheese
- 1 tablespoon raw honey or hot honey
- 2 teaspoons fresh thyme leaves
- Freshly cracked pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Use a paring knife to make a 1-2” cut down the side of each fig.
- Press 2 teaspoons of cottage cheese into the cut side of each fig.
- Arrange the figs onto a serving plate.
- Garnish with fresh thyme leaves, and drizzle with honey.
- Sprinkle with a dusting of freshly cracked pepper, if desired.
