This creamy roasted garlic herb cheese dip is the ultimate easy appetizer for holidays, game day, and cozy nights in. Roasted garlic is whipped into silky Good Culture cream cheese and tangy Good Culture sour cream for an ultra-smooth base that bakes up light, rich, and irresistibly scoopable.
Ingredients
- 1 whole head garlic
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 6 oz Good Culture Cream Cheese, softened
- 1 dollop Good Culture Sour Cream
- ½ cup shredded fontina (or mozzarella for milder melt)
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan
- 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, finely minced (plus extra sprigs for garnish)
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves
- Zest of ½ lemon
- ½ tsp kosher salt (adjust to taste)
- ¼ tsp cracked black pepper
- Optional finish: drizzle of honey
Instructions
- Roast the garlic — Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Trim the top off garlic head, drizzle with olive oil, wrap in foil, and roast 35–40 min until soft and caramelized. Cool slightly.
- Make the base — In a bowl, beat Good Culture cream cheese, Good Culture sour cream, roasted garlic (squeezed from cloves), rosemary, thyme, lemon zest, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Add the cheese — Fold in fontina and Parmesan.
- Bake — Spread mixture into a small baking dish or skillet. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 18–20 min, until golden, melty, and bubbling around edges.
